I picked up XFire last April. And have been getting to know Dan who is the project lead. I’ve been working on getting the Maven2 build working properly along with Christoph.

We have it where it will build the Java 1.4 components with jdk 1.4 and if you have Java 5 you can build the Annotation and JAXB2 support.

I have one client that is using XFire with Websphere on an AS/400. We’re using it for Item Price Check and Availability and Ordering. With the exception of the nuisance we had to run into with Websphere, where we had to replace jar files that were backlevel in Websphere and had method signature conflicts.
