It seems there is a flurry of news about Climate Change — the 2008 topic for the FLL Competition. Here are the headlines I found:

• Indonesia to plant 100 million trees this year
• Cellphone industry eyes charger power savings — maybe a few BILLION phones DO add up to a lot of power.
• Macedonians plant six million trees in single day — if the Macedonians can do 6 million, the USA should be able to plant 600 million
• Sea surges could uproot millions in Nigeria megacity — Lagos would NOT be where I want to live it this happened
• Canada wants North America cap-and-trade system — at once they just wanted to reduce intensity of emissions, now they’re willing to curb
• Automakers detail electric car plans at L.A. show
