Flex and Seam == Flamingo

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

JBoss (Exadel) has been working on a new open source project called Flamingo. It looks pretty slick and supports a home grown AMF protocol under the covers as well as bundling Hessian support for remoting.

They’ve posted a demo and documentation in the form of a user’s guide, APIs and other docs.

And for people that know me…it’s built on Maven.

I just got a phone call where they told me to fill out my proxy materials online or via their toll free number.

Arbor Day

My son, Jeffrey brought home a tree today. A white pine. It’s pretty small, but it’s supposed to grow to 50-100 feet tall. I don’t want all of the pine needles in my gutters — they’re a pain in the ass to clean out. We found a nice spot up front. He was pretty psyched.
